All About Us

The Soul of Fire

ROHO — Soul

In Swahili, roho means soul or spirit. It is the idea at the center of our food: the soul of Indian tradition, the energy of Asian technique and the warmth of gathering around a shared table.

312 — Chicago

A tribute to Chicago's iconic area code and the region's bold, diverse food culture. It connects ROHO to the energy of the city while giving the concept a distinctly modern Illinois identity. Its also driven by our Address 312 W Main , Street in St Charles- Illinois

St. Charles — Home

Historic St. Charles is the natural home for ROHO 312. Its Fox River setting, beautiful architecture and lively dining culture create the right backdrop for a restaurant that respects heritage while bringing something fresh to the table.

Our Founders

The Architect & The Artisan

ROHO | 312 was born from a shared vision between Parikshit Kalra “PK” and Chef Chetan Saini: to present the true spirit of today’s Indian cuisine and hospitality through a contemporary, elevated experience.

ROHO | 312 brings together Indo-Asian roots, artfully blended cuisine, genuine flavors, elevated service, contemporary culture and an unforgettable ambience—creating an experience that goes far beyond the plate.

Parikshit (PK) a senior corporate executive and lifelong connoisseur of global cuisine, refined hospitality and thoughtful ambience, PK has traveled extensively and experienced diverse culinary cultures around the world. Formally educated in hotel management and trained as a chef, he ultimately pursued a career in management—building world-class customer-experience solutions. Yet he always felt that the evolving India—its cuisine, culture, sophistication and hospitality—remained underrepresented in the United States.

Chef Chetan brings more than a decade of experience operating some of Illinois’ most popular Indian restaurants. Known for his uncompromising approach to authenticity, consistency and quality, he creates dishes from scratch using traditional techniques, carefully balanced flavors and treasured recipes passed down from his mother. His food has attracted loyal guests from across Chicagoland and stood the test of time.

Well-traveled and united by a deep respect for genuine flavors and exceptional hospitality, PK and Chetan carefully selected historic downtown St. Charles as the home for their meticulously planned concept.
